Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies is the only Bigfoot research group whose origins
are in Colorado.

We reside in beautiful Parker Colorado, which is South of Denver near the Palmer Divide.

Our researchers focus on the Rocky Mountains.  All our evidence is from Colorado and it
is our own.

Our best asset is our willingness to spend weeks in the field year-round, regardless of the weather conditions.

This is why we are so successful.  We study our friends in their natural environment.

We pride ourselves in trying to be a friend to them always. No strings attached. Harming one or associating with people who do so knowingly has never been an option. It has been and always will be friendship first, evidence second.

This approach has allowed us a glimpse into their world. We have forged strong friendships as a result of patience and caring. We share what we receive in hopes it will educate you in their ways respectfully.

When we are in their home, they are treated with the same dignity and respect everyone should be entitled to by right in our great country. Anything less in our eyes is and always will be unacceptable.

Our goals are to push for more openness within the Bigfoot research community and to
present evidence that will help in protection efforts of this unknown, iconic species.

I have been interested in bigfoot since my experience in 1989, in western Pennsylvania where I grew up. I have lived out here in Colorado since 1994. I would really like to get involved with a “real” investigative team, that actually goes into the mountains and conducts searches/Investigations. Thank you for your time.

LittleFoot January 10, 2012 at 2:59 am

Hello everyone. Had a recent bigfoot siting and was looking others who may have had similar stories. Anyone feel free to send me their own storys or siting.

Tom Golinsky January 23, 2012 at 5:00 pm

Hey there, love the site. Would be great if you guys would take volunteers on your expeditions. I’ve got 4 weeks of vacation and can think of nothing I’d love more than spending a week or two doing some research.

Walter Henriques November 1, 2014 at 10:50 am

i’m new here but have experienced a unique and rare encounter with our “furry friends”. I was oblivious of the subject and there exsistence and truly was scared at first but quickly recovered because of one reason. I was not out in the woods looking for them. My suggestion is to be out and about simply enjoying the outdoors even if you believe there are in the area. Bring some potatoes or some sort of sweets. Leave it somewhere where the critters can’t get to it. Try not to make a big thing out of it as well. Take your family and have a picnic. Be positive and respectful of the woods. Sing a song if you like. My point is, you don’t need a team of researchers to have a great experience.

Donna collier December 15, 2014 at 2:50 am

They come to light at night.

Lisa Thompson February 21, 2012 at 6:06 am

I believe, I have heard something I know was not Human or any animal sound I have ever heard. I am a Hunter/Outdoorswoman, I am familiar with many animal sounds, and the different types of sounds they make. I also believe, because my dad told me he had seen something, He wasn’t sure what it was. He knew it was not a Bear, Nor Human. My Dad was not the Tall Tail, BS kind of person. I just believe. Robert Johnson May 24, 2012 at 12:50 am

I grew-up in seattle so I am a firm believer in sasquatch and my mother actually saw a juvenile a long time ago standing at around 6 ft crossing an old logging road while on a fishing trip and told the story until her death 15 years ago
I love that people still believe and are still finding evidence that this species does exist great webpage keep up the good work
BTW I now live in UtAh so I am allmost as close to them here

Steven May 25, 2012 at 1:36 am

I had a bigfoot sighting in 2009 and reported to a Maryland base bigfoot organization. I have been fascinated ever since. Where I live in Westminster I have reason to believe there might be some bigfoots in the general area. But no straight forward sighting. However last week while delivering mail in Westminster. I saw a pickup truck marked Sasquatch Research Team. It had Maryland tags. It had a website marked as or so I thought. I have done web search and have come up with nothing. Did not know if you know who it might be and what is there correct website

Walter Henriques November 1, 2014 at 10:52 am

Were you out looking for them?

Lee May 25, 2012 at 10:59 pm

Will you be submitting any of your hair samples to the group from Oxford University looking to to utilize new techniques in DNA sampling?

I was fascinated with the section on signs of activity. I have been backpacking since time out of mind (I love going off trail) and wonder how many signs I have missed over the years. I now have some ideas of what I should be looking for.

Thanks, JB

Ron Autry August 21, 2012 at 8:41 pm

I like your site. I’m a native Texan but lived in western Colorado for the past 35+ years. My son had a bigfoot encounter while fishing at one of the many secluded lakes on Grand Mesa about 4 years ago. Saw it from across the lake walking through the trees. He quickly got on his four wheeler and hauled a** out. He’s up there somewhere.

Jack D. Barnes September 8, 2012 at 4:42 pm

we are sending 5 samples to Dr. Sykes at Oxford. Are you interested in any of your samples to be sent with them?

Michael Constantin October 11, 2012 at 3:26 am

I wrote you back in June. I just moved here from California. You mentioned an outing in October. Also, we just bought a house in Black Forest. We will be moving there from the Springs in November. We will be closer to your area. Anyway, I am looking to find someone to investigate with. I am former law enforcement and would seriously love to go where the Colorado disappearances in David Paulides Missing 411 book occurred. I have great references should you require them.

Michael Constantin October 15, 2012 at 1:27 am

Mike, I left you a voicemail. Call when it works for you. Can’t wait to talk.

Tracy November 7, 2012 at 9:00 am

Hey have you thought about comeing up hwy 285 there have been two reports this year one of seeing bigfoor the other was seeing prints . I know that when I was a detention Deputy in Fairplay I did see something huge that wasnt anything I have ever seen standing next to 285 near the top of Kenosha pass on my way to work.

David Dillon March 28, 2015 at 9:31 pm

Dear Tracy,
I agree with you I am a native and have been in and around these mountains all my
life. It seems that from Kenosha to the Buffalo peak and just above Buena Vista around
Cottonwood Pass has always been a hotbed.
Although I have had certain experiences in other areas , but not as intense as this area I have had two sightings while backpacking and two while stream fishing. At first I was frightened but now I am constantly looking and seeking evidence.
I hope 0ne day there will be a law such as Washington states in Colorado NO HUNTING. I have never felt threatened even when I know I startled them. However several bear encounters I”ve had over the years literally left me up a tree.
Thanks David

Karen Anderson November 6, 2015 at 8:35 pm

I was a deputy in Park County, district 2. Saw plenty of weird UFO types of stuff, cattle mutilations and had actual experience in patrol car where something huge came over us and shut engine and all electrical systems down while driving back from the jail.

Alonso December 7, 2012 at 9:40 pm

Opinion about Sasquatch phenomena.

Hi there!

I would like to share the following point of view about this phenomena that intrigue us and fascinate us to all of us:

Since researchers have not caught, killed, or rarely even sighted a Bigfoot after many, many years of unsuccessfully searching using guns, gadgets, and call blasting, they would have figured it out that the Sasquatch are an interdimensional people and not just a clever animal. It remains obvious that there nature people possess some psychic abilities that have allowed them to stay hidden from us for so long.

Not only do we need to change our outmoded field methodology, but we need to shift from the way we think, to perceive living nature as an integral part of us, not something separate, frightening, and wild. Holistically and spiritually, they are us and we are them in the Great Oneness of an interconnected universe.

They are without a doubt a higher form of human living inside hairy bodies. They are unique with a huge capacity to love and socially interact with Homo Sapiens if we let them; if only we would stop the immature behavior of monster-hunting. Like attracts like; opposites repel!

Sasquatches will throw out “fear” to hunters and hikers in the forest, when they have their family nearby and don’t want anyone in the area. The intruders merely have an overwhelming feeling of doom and they quickly leave the area. This is a haunting feeling that numerous witnesses have described.

These beings are nature’s cosmic contradiction, a beautiful anomaly of sensitive humanity living inside an animal-like body’ an anthropological wonder roaming our planet while constantly avoiding the deadly, dominant race of spoilers that we have chosen to become.

We must stop being so anthropocentric, so racially prejudiced first for which White European-Americans are historically infamous. Our society teaches more of material values emphasizing the accumulation of wealth, which has put our culture out of balance with nature. We have become spiritually bankrupt in many ways. Where’s the compassion, our feelings, our caring and altruism?

They are people and want the world to know the truth of who they really are but we are not ready yet. There are no monsters out there, except for misbehaving people who lack spiritual awareness.

There must be a major “portal” or vortex leading to another dimension where the chupacabras and other cryptids enter and exit our world.

I think we all should start consider this, let’s share it…

Catherine August 2, 2013 at 2:23 am

It’s about time think different of what these creatures. I am curious, yet I do agree people would go look to find it, and hurt it. I have my own opinion. They can find things thousands or billions of years of stuff…….yet there is nothing about this thing. I feel for it, and if it needs to stay away. I talked to another person who think they could be an alien…..we do not know. I would not want someone or people to find it because they would kill it , dissect or God only people would do. They would run tests on it like they have done on anything monkeys….ect. Everything has some purpose. What that Bigfoot is even though we have all technology and they can’t find it. Yet they find other stuff……It just is……May the Blessings Be!!!!!
I do care about Life

Mel August 19, 2014 at 4:21 pm

Thank you for your sharing Alonso, I have been surprised that more don’t comment like this, it seems so obvious, well, I am hopeful that these peaceful and loving thoughts regarding the beloved Sasquatch people spread! What joy we could have in friendship with them, if we but change our way of thinking. We can choose love or fear; our choice 🙂

Donna collier December 15, 2014 at 3:14 am

I think you are right. The one I seen was going to a light the other t o where holding in the road I don’t believe they are from here either.

Chris January 14, 2013 at 4:49 am

Was watching Finding Bigfoot when I noticed something in the background. It was the episode when they were in Louisana. It’s near the end when Matt Moneymaker says “Look at those white oaks!”. If you look closely when they film the woods something in the background moves from left to right. It seems to be turning and walking away. I cannot explain what it is. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this.

Cliff Sullivan January 25, 2013 at 11:35 pm

Hey guys, I hope the new year is treating you all well! I wanted to let you know that I’ve got the Sasquatches all completed and ready to ship. They’re on display at a Sasquatch themed art show in Portland, Oregon and I’ve repriced them all as well to make them more affordable for everyone. Michael, I wanted to let you know that my next project will be the mother and baby we talked about.

Keep up the great work, Cliff

Francisco X Elizalde Jr February 4, 2013 at 7:04 pm

Hi there….love your website.
For over 30 yrs I have been interested in bigfoot stories, legends, sighting, television programs, research organization and etc. I have followed some sighting reports in the Colorado state….as recently as the one in Estes Park, CO. I have never told anyone, for fear as being labeled as a “wacko”…since I was still in the U.S. Army at the time of my sighting.
It was about October of 1982, when I first saw, what I truly believe, bigfoot. I was hunting bear and elk in the Battle Mountain area, of Medicine Bow Forest, Wyoming, NE of Craig, CO and SE of Rawlings, WY. I was stationed in Cheyenne, WY, as an Army Recruiter, at the time.
At first I smelled an awful stench….unlike I have ever smelled before. The forest was dark, even though it was nearly noon. I was on a knoll…over looking some area down below. I glassed the forest and saw a creature, unlike I have ever seen before. I estimated he was about a good 7 feet tall, hairy (dark brown), and what I remember the most was his cold staring look at me. I could feel him/her looking right through me. His eyes gave me the goose bumps and even though I was a combat vet and an excellent shot with my rifle, I still decided to evacuate the area. If I wanted to, I could have shot him, but decided not to. I was a high ranking sergeant in the Army at the time. If I had reported this…it might have effected my promotion status. I have since retired from the Army in 1989.
Anyway…if there is a chance to be part of your organization….or help out…I would be interested.
Am a private investigator in SE Aurora and a hunter/fisherman.
Thanks for your time.
I go by the name of “Paco”.

Steve August 19, 2014 at 11:29 pm

Hey Paco, I live in Cheyenne and also have a house in Encampment. I spend a lot of time hunting the Sierra Madres as well as camping and squatching in the area. I have heard some strange things but have yet to see any although I think it’s just a matter of time in that area.

Yvonne park March 21, 2013 at 11:54 pm

Greetings from Illinois:

I was wondering on your thoughts as far as temperament of our “forest friends”. In all of my reading and following, it seems that some of the encounters in our area as well as our southern friends seem to be more aggressive than the more amiable encounters that you have. Do you believe there may be different intelligence levels within this species?

DeeAnn May 3, 2013 at 5:19 am

I am very happy to find an actual group of investigators here in Colorado. About 10 years ago I saw the show, Sasquatch, legend meets science. I was absolutely addicted after that. my son and I even went on an “expedition”. & I just have to say that it was very frightening standing there in the pitch dark, tree knocking & doing bigfoot calls. I think I’m more the early morning, evening kind of gal. unfortunately my son is now 19 & will never go looking for bigfoot with me again, his mother scarred him for life. I really love your sight, thank you for doing serious research here in Colorado.

jay luce May 10, 2013 at 10:17 pm

I just found your guys site, had my own experience back about nine or ten years ago in the ohio valley, left me a believer for life after what I saw and heard within the three days I experianced it.

Harold Bennett May 17, 2013 at 10:47 pm

Great work you all are doing and thanks much for sharing with the rest of the world. I am retired and look forward each day to visiting your site to learn as much as possible about your forest friends and whether you are able to continue gaining their trust. I may have had three sightings myself but none were positive enough to talk about. There have been several sightings within 30 miles of us and well over 100 in our state (Ga.).

Back in November or December of 2012, you prepared packages of hair samples to be sent for DNA testing. It was not clear in the write-up whether they had actually been sent or you would be sending them at some point in the future. Could you please clairify this for me and anyone else who may be confused about the issue.

I encourage you all to keep up the good work and will look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kindest Regards,
Harold Bennett

Leo June 24, 2013 at 9:30 am

Greetings from Tucson, AZ! Stumbled upon this site by chance. Being a Tucson native who lived in Colorado for a while (Florence, Canon City, and Pueblo, CO. to be exact), I have since had a love affair with Colorado and have returned a few times since moving back to Tucson about 13 years ago. Anyway, having read various reports of sightings and auditory encounters from Colorado on other BF sites, it’s fascinating to know that such encounters were not too far from where I once resided. Then again, such encounters have happened here in AZ as well. Anyway, look forward to reading more on this site!

Best Regards
Leo F.

Dorian Bastedo July 6, 2013 at 10:52 pm

I know there are sasquatch.I’ve seen them plenty and here recently tracked one down with my little brother to show it to him. Sometimes they don’t even stay in the mountains, they come down to the plains too. I think it’s the water, cause of the fires, and especially during the summer before the fires, probably because it’s warm and easy for them to move at night then and maybe cause they’re restless.

You only see them as far out as Security and Falcon occasionally during the summer,as well as the east side of town. They’re behavior is a cross between a bear, which they can be easily mistaken for and a gorilla like you would find in the highlands of the Ghana in Africa.

Just strange, but they are cool as anything to watch. If you stay still and have the courage they will come close to you, but I’ve never let them get too close, they are massively huge and strong, on par with bears and perhaps even stronger, and can be dangerous as they are still a wild animal.

I have classified them personally, although I am no scientist, but as one of their discoverers as the North American Gorilla, as that is what they somewhat resemble and what their behavior seems to suggest. Although I believe they may be more closely related to the orangutan, who’s name means old-man of the forest, and who was also considered a mythical creature once because they stay well hidden and are very calm and live deep in the jungles.

One day I believe these creatures will be well know like the orangutan is today. One last thing,I’ve often noted that they are of course much more highly intelligent then a monkey or common sapien, such as a gorilla or orangutan, almost on par with us humans and certainly with ancient neanderthal man. They live in caves sometimes and also build shelters and lean-to’s.

They have been known to use camouflage by covering themselves with leaves, moss and twigs. They bend together branches they rip off trees or find on the ground to make large woven basket looking structures I believe they use to provide themselves with shelter from the rain. Most often these large structures are thought to be the work of homeless people living in the woods or lost hikers and campers, but I’ve found some that measure 12 feet tall at center and could not support the weight of a man on top suggesting they were built by something at least seven to eight feet tall with an armspan of around five to six feet,so it could reach that high above.

I doubt there are any men you could reach a good six feet over their heads. These structures may,and I say may, indicate a family group, used as shelter and camouflage for young and pregnant females that can’t move quickly through terrain, and are later abandoned suggesting they may have been made for one purpose, and perhaps at a particular time of year, such as several months after mating season, if they have a mating season.

I haven’t studied them like you have but have simply blundered upon them and have learned what to look for to indicate they are near and somewhat how to track them. They move very similar to a man, but rather an indian who knows the forest and terrain. They have very long strides and can outdistance a man while simply walking by over two miles, an impressive gate. They must walk at about ten to fifteen miles an hour when not being seen, very fast, with long strides. I have seen them three times up close, and two times they were very calm and unaggressive.

The third time I saw what i believe was a large male, rogue, about eight and half feet and well over four hundred pounds, biggest I’d seen, throwing a tantrum on the side of a hill in a valley, very highly upset, it uprooted a tree like it was picking a flower and threw it twenty yards, it was impressive and highly scary. I think it may have been injured or perhaps had a toothache, but it was indeed agitated. Just like a human would be if in pain or a bear with a thorn in it’s paw.

They are a very real animal, and can be dangerous, but are very calm most of the time and something incredible to behold because of their very human like faces and motions as well as to some degree attitudes and intelligence. Two of the three I saw were male, I believe, but I first saw what I believe was a young female, with human like breasts, but like a gorilla female too, and only about five and a half feet tall,so it may have been young.

Because I have seen both makes and a female as well as one in what I believe was pain, they have become a very real animal to me and I tell these stories to everyone who scoffs at me, because they are just like an animal you would see at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where I have gone a number of times to compare their features to those of their African cousins, the gorillas. I’m glad someone considers them as real as I do.

VERY impressive website guys. Well done. Are you near Castle Rock,CO? I’ll be checking this site out and recommending it to my BF friends. Check out my books. They’re fun stories about our mutual friend.

Marilyn Jesmer September 15, 2013 at 10:25 pm

Hi Mike!
I hope things are going well for you. I have thought of you so many times.
Leesa and I were doing our memory boxes of Brad today and wondered if you had a older patch you could send us. We have one patch from 2006 but need one more for the other memory box. It would not have to be a specific year…..just want to be sure one is in his box……it was such a big part of his life.
So good to see the memorial still there when I pull your site up.
Thanks so much, Marilyn

Shane Barker September 25, 2013 at 3:14 am

Can’t wait to see you guys in Bailey on the 28 of Sept. Me and my wife live right by the Sasquatch Post. We have a dog and we have been taking him out about a half mile out of Bailey to run free. This summer has been well wierd in our walking spot there have been some big tree breaks and big sticks and well logs shoved up high in the trees you see we go there 4 to 5 times a week and every week we find things in or with the trees that are different from days earlier. It feels as if we are being told look we are here and stay out. This spot is just outside of town and it would be great to get an expert down in this spot to see what they think becuase this spot I believe is what you call a HOT SPOT i even had a tree knock at 2 oclock in the afternoon 2 weeks ago. After looking at pictures of tree breaks on your sight my wife and i are seeing the same things.Sorry we didn’t say anything sooner because this spot is active as we saw some stuff today that was not there 2 days before.

Linda October 4, 2013 at 3:33 pm

Wow! I rarely ever comment on soneones beliefs but I have to on this mans. To Alonzo I am a God created human being and not any part of sasquatch. I researched their origins nd am convinced they are not any part of Gods creation. The (gods) that defiled animal nd man were not any part good. I believe oneday the purposeof these creatures will be known nd it wont be good. Our gov is well aware of these nd other muntant creatures both land nd sea. Only need for cover up is for wrong doing? Just what I have learned in researching.

Michael Johnson October 4, 2013 at 9:38 pm

Linda the sad reality is WE are the most destructive species that ever lived in the history of this planet. The Sasquatches know it as well. The Sasquatches in general have treated me far kinder than many people, especially those with fake names and anonymous names on the internet. I think its to early to label anyone, especially in religious terms of any kind. I am basing my knowledge of them on interactions with them in the field, not guesses and speculation, which is not productive for either side is my thought.

Mel August 19, 2014 at 5:12 pm

Michael, I couldn’t agree more. If we are feeling fear of the Sasquatch people, it is most assumed to be our own fear being mirrored back…lets learn how to let that fear go (regular meditation can help), be in a peaceful place; and then see what happens! May peace be to all. There is nothing outside of “God’s” creation. We are all one ~ the ideas of separation is what got us into the mess us human’s are in on this planet to begin with. Thank you so much for your response Michael and for your site. It was a breath of fresh air to see a sight for the Sasquatch people based on kindness, respect and friendship rather than fear, and I have been hoping for a site and group exactly with your affirmation of “No strings attached” ~ just friendship and dignity. ^_^

Have you produced a map pinpointing reported sightings and or “hot spots”?
One problem would be that some would use that info for the wrong reasons.
How can a serious believer learn of these areas? Your pictures of tree breaks etc. are helpful. Many times we simply overlook the obvious because we do not know what we are looking at.

all the time by reading thes nice articles or reviews.

Hannah April 7, 2014 at 2:27 pm

Hello Michael Johnson. My name is Hannah and I am doing a research paper on sasquatches. I am gathering facts and trying to prove their existence. If you could send me some facts and some of your knowledge of sasquatches, then that would be greatly appreciated. I want to make this research paper the best research paper in the history of research papers. I want to prove to my teacher and classmates that sasquatches are 100% real.

Jerry June 29, 2014 at 1:21 am

I really liked your rock structure section. What do you think the Sasquatch people were trying to tell you? What did they say about the star constellations?

Thank you!

Don Johnson June 30, 2014 at 8:40 pm

Bigfoot is fake y’all are going off of photoshopped pictures

Michael Johnson_SIR June 30, 2014 at 9:44 pm

Our photos are authentic. We have had many say just the same thing with no proof, just opinions. Many with no expertise at all. In fact, a gentleman sent in photo 4 under Bigfoot photos after unknown to us he tried to prove the photos were not real and he ended up proving to himself they were. He sent us that photo for the website to use and is now a fan.

Thanks to my father who told me about this website, this weblog is in fact amazing.

Steve Scenario July 7, 2014 at 3:42 am

Why hasn’t there been any evidence of deceased sasquatches found? Would love to hear about such evidence if it has been gathered.

stevenD August 6, 2014 at 8:08 pm

People confuse the word EVIDENCE with the word PROOF, there is lots of bigfoot evidence out there, enough for some to consider it as proof, for others, only a dead body on the 6-o’clock news will be proof. What is truly laughable is the people who spout off about bigfoots being fake WITHOUT looking at or listening to any of the available evidence…!

An interesting discussion is definitely worth comment.
There’s no doubt that that you ought to write more
on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but usually people do not talk about
such subjects. To the next! All the best!!

Suzy October 20, 2014 at 10:27 pm

Hello S.I.R. investigators!

My name is Suzy Riding. I am an acquaintance of Jeff Yelek in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am going on a self guided Bigfoot exploration tomorrow morning for my birthday and was wondering if Jeff or Teresa could give me some pointers or a direction to go near here such as RMNP.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I don’t believe in Bigfoot and i never will i just have do research on him because my teacher is making me but i go on believing in the devil he likes that. I have faith like Linda I believe in GOD with all my heart and follow his will..

Sheryl November 8, 2014 at 4:06 am

I am looking for someone to share their experiences and/or willingness to answer questions from students who have recently created a club to investigate big foot. Their enthusiasm is amazingly high and their knowledge base is at the basic beginning.

Larry Day December 28, 2014 at 4:13 am

Hi Mike. I just finished Scott’s book and found it very interesting. You and Scott may remember me as a science teacher\coach at Salina South Jr. High. I too find the subject of Sasquatch to be very interesting and enjoy learning about what others are discovering. Keep up the good work and I will check in on the web site from time to time.
I hope you get an actual sighting and think your non-confrontational style just might do the trick. Good luck, Larry.

Matthew November 10, 2014 at 3:48 pm

I have been researching bigfoots for a couple of decades, and have written short books on the subject. (People over-think bigfoots, and make it harder than it is.) One of the books is free and the other is 99 cents. You can find them here, or at iTunes/iBooks store.

brenda December 29, 2014 at 1:03 am

Hey, we were coming home from our daughters after christmas and my husband was told a deer hunter killed a juvenile Sasquatch in the Uhwarrie Mtns near Albemarle or Montgomery county. I don’t know ,but they say the game warden picked it up, so there is something is fishy about it. Sasquatch hasnt bothered anybody.

Hi, Michael and Scott. I am from Kansas as well. I currently live in Hutchinson but am very familiar with Salina. I am moving to the Denver area in a few months, but I am planning to take a 4-5 day trip to the Lost Creek Wilderness around The Castle in search of evidence with a friend of mine. From my research I thought this would be a good area would appreciate your input on a good area to search? I’ll admit, bigfoot is part of why I am moving there but love the mountains/forests as well. I’ve been fascinated for years and have gone on searches in Missouri/Oklahoma but this will be my first in Colorado. I would appreciate any knowledge you could pass my way! Thanks!

Tanner March 27, 2015 at 5:42 am

Forgot to mention that I’m planning my 4-5 day trip in late April/early May.

I really enjoy your research and especially enjoy reading your field reports. My daughter and her best friend (both seniors at Texas A&M), along with my wife and myself plan on making a camping trip to Colorado in search of any physical evidence of our Forest friends. Is there any help you can give that might increase our chances. We plan to copy much of what I was able to gleam from SIRS and utilize some of your techniques. Looking to learn from you…

Hello SIR community,
In reading some of your comments I have found a common theme in your thoughts about Bigfoot being that they’re very misunderstood creatures. I wrote and illustrated my second children’s book, The Misunderstood Mister Yeti, on that same thought process. Kids, and adults who are kids at heart will be captivated with Mister Yeti and his search for friendship. You can discover Mister Yeti and preorder your copy of the book here:

I recently was on vacation in CO. Rode the Durango-Silverton train. Just off the train track, I noticed where large branches that had fallen off trees were stacked I assume by the train crew. However, I also noticed small twigs stacked. They appeared to be too small to fool with. Any feedback?

Mark Konecny January 4, 2016 at 2:38 pm

I grew up in western Pennsylvania but have been living in Arvada for 24 years. I have had several incidents when I was young and have had an obsession with sasquatch’s ever since. I used to spend a bunch of time in the woods but am just now starting to get back to nature. The ridicule that I have received over the years (even from my own family) has not caused me to doubt they are out there. I would like to be a part of a research group that continues the ongoing search for this very elusive creature.

Hey folks,
I was wondering, has anyone thought of using DRONES for researching this elusive animal? I think it would greatly improve your odds of collecting valuable data. Anyway, it’s just a thought to help locate, film and ultimately protect everyone, including this elusive animal

I live in Colorado. Years ago, 1977 or 1978, while riding horse back on the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington State. I was near Canada and 16 miles from any road. I ran across huge tracks in the mud approxinate 18 8 in. Very large toes and no claw marks. I was on the devil stair case so turned around and got out of there fast. I have hunted and lived in Alaska and all over the west. I have killed large bears but never seen tracks like these! This has haunted me ever since. I spend the summers in the Colorado mountains fishing and looking for tracks.

I am a believer.

Creeman March 18, 2016 at 5:28 pm

I have had several encounters with the “night people” since 2009. I have communicated with them only a couple of times in native American Salish and once in English. I have only heard them speak English once (mimic??) I bring them food when I am in their areas hunting. Recently I have been as close as 20-30 ft from one of them. Most of the time they just stand there and watch me leave them some of their favorite snacks. The females come the closest to me. The males appear to be 7-7.5 ft tall, females 6 ft tall. Some have reddish hair and some have dark hair. Some have an odor usually the males and most of the females do not have an odor?? They have never threatened me in anyway. I just wave to them and speak to them. I have never experienced any infrasound or telepathic communications. I believe that is just conjecture. They now follow me all of the time and have been getting closer to me each time I am in their area. I am former military and law enforcement therefore I am always armed. However I keep my weapon holstered and have never drawn it when they are around. I think they trust me now. That is all I know. I hope everyone leaves them alone and I am committed to protecting them from any harm. They are human!!

creeman March 18, 2016 at 7:48 pm

I recently posted my experiences with the “night people” however it was decided not to be posted for some reason. My only intention is to educated everyone what my experiences with these people have been. I am former military and state law enforcement therefore what I tell you is exactly what my experiences have been with them since 2009. This will be my last post regarding this topic.

creeman March 18, 2016 at 9:46 pm

My apologies as I see my posts for my encounters with the “night people”. I am not in Colorado but make frequent hunting trips into the North Cascades of Washington state. I was born here and have lived for a month at times in remote areas of the wilderness. I do have distant native American ancestry and have always been in “tune” with nature. What I tell is actual experiences nothing more. Once others were with me when the “night people” came near me and only one of them will return to that area with me only during the daytime. Another law enforcement officer friend of mine has also seen them and left food for them. Winters are hard for them. I hope this has been informative for those interested souls. Respect the “night people”!!

Mark Konecny March 19, 2016 at 9:19 am

Are the night people sasquatch?

creeman March 21, 2016 at 2:19 pm

What my native American friends here tell me the “night people” are what the white man calls Bigfoot. Sasquatch they tell me means stick Indians by some tribes and other tribes Sasquatch means wild man of the forest. The tribes here call them “night people” as they hunt mostly at night during a full moon (hunters moon). They are also know as the Seatco or Seeahtic tribe. I have seen them at night mostly but several times during the day now since I have been taking them food.

On 2-9-16 I found a 17″ footprint on my property> (It was in very hard packed snow)
It was approximately 6-7 ” wide and depressed approximately 1/2-1″ in the very hard snow. I did take numerous photos that I will send.

Michelle Mobley July 7, 2016 at 4:12 am

I just want a size 6X t-shirt for my 6’7″ extra EXTRA large son…the sasquatch of Upstate NY. (I will be delighted to pre-pay for it.)

Christian Nelms July 22, 2016 at 2:45 pm

Hi, I’ve never had anyone to tell, and I have an interesting experience I would like to share with you to possibly get some insight into if what I saw wasn’t a hoax? If you’d be willing to listen, please email me!

Jim Stack August 9, 2016 at 4:46 pm

I have been packing around Pike’s Peak and every now and then I find some interesting things. This last trip I found a “structure” and some other interesting signs of animal life. I wanted to chalk them up to bear but I’m not sure. I would like to tell you the area I was in and ask if you have any other reports from the area.

Leon Pfaller January 14, 2017 at 11:58 pm

Check out “Bigfoot/Sasquatch Resurgence of Native American Indian Legends,” a 210-page encyclopedia-sized (8.5 x 11in) book filled with the most valuable information ever documented on the subject- from 1603 to present. These most valuable accounts had been documented by some of the most notable figures in the History of North America. And much of what these stories and accounts suggest goes well beyond- what- a dead-body of Bigfoot will not tell us about; its’ behavior.
This is a non-fiction book about the anthropological objective of Bigfoot/Sasquatch in North America. [Finally! (Being that If there was- any truth- to such a creature- the Native American Indians would probably have a historical record of it as well? And they do. Boy- how they do!)] The book is cited and sourced- from hundreds of literary examples. From the Great explorer Samuel De Champlain’s diary from 1603 (East coast), to Jose Mariano Mociño’s book from 1792 (West coast of BC). To Eskimo accounts gathered from early 1800’s Russian explorers, to stories gathered from Southern California’s Mission Indians by Spanish Priests in the late 1700’s. As well as stories told among Daniel Boone, “Buffalo” Bill Cody, various Reverends, ministers, missionaries, Generals, and even a U.S. President? Yes (Theodore Roosevelt); All inside This Book! Cited and sourced from various books on the subject- to uncontaminated accounts sourced from (older) various University texts (having nothing to do with the names “Bigfoot” or “Sasquatch”) that- reveal- the same described creature- by different names- from original (uncontaminated) Native American Indian, and explorer accounts.
What sets this book apart and makes it unique is that it is a review of several other books. There are direct quotes with the bibliographic info included in the text- right next to the quotes (title, author, year, publishing co., and city and state). All made possible through the “Fair Use Law.” I think it definitely stands-out as the strongest book with the most compelling proof- ever written on the subject.
The book is actually a review of over 100 tribes! Put together in a format with lines that separate some of the various tribes and the litany of newly-revealed, re-evaluated, and (especially) older examples of information.
This book is $39.99, but it has been discounted on for only $29.99. I have discounts on bulk order copies as well (especially if you would like to stock this book for resale). I can also send you a sample of some of the book if you would like to review it first. Please contact me via email if you are interested.

Thank you
Kindest regards,

Leon Pfaller
