Bigfoot Sounds Audio

All of these bigfoot research audios were recorded by our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies team.

Here are a few of our best digital audio recordings believed to be Bigfoot related. Most of these vocalizations are “whoops” just because they are unique to Sasquatch and primates and dissimilar to many other animals in our research areas.

You need a good set of headphones (preferably earbuds) to hear properly. These sounds are picked up from long distances (except Audio #3) with equipment set on high gain, therefore vocals are faint. We have amplified the sound bites as much as possible.

Remember, if it was easy to record these creatures, everyone would have good, crystal clear recordings! We hope these are audible enough for you to hear.

Jeff and Theresa Yelek captured this unknown sequence of howls from their primary northern Colorado location.

This was captured on a Zoom H2 Portable Stereo Recorder, in the summer of 2020.

This video sequence includes wood knocks obtained by Robin and Jon Roberts at one of there research locations in June of 2015.

It includes them responding to the knocks. It is quite intriguing!

Whoop Sequence Audios – These whoop sequences were obtained by Michael Johnson and Scott Walter in a coule of outings at our NW Colorado location. I had them archived and felt it was time to share them. Mononga Hela, my friend, helped with this audio. They pretty much speak for themselves. They were much better in person. The recordings do not convey the power and clarity, in which they were heard in the field.

The-Knoll-The-4-Whoops-Filtered-AMHPLPNRAM.mp3

The knoll sequence was right in front of me from a tree line less than 100 yards away. Scott was about a 1/4 away when he recorded these with my son, who was speaking as they heard them too.

The Saturday night sequence has a snore in it from our camp as we were asleep when it was recorded.

.
One Night With The Sasquatches Audio
– This impressive recording was obtained by Jeff and Theresa Yelek in Northern Colorado in the summer of 2013. The recording was assisted by our friend Mononga Hela.

This is clearly a group of Sasquatches communicating around their camp site at night while they slept. This was captured on Jeff’s Zoom H-2 recorder.

We interpret the recording as follows: 16 seconds grunt, 30 seconds bug, 48 seconds banging, 1 minute 31 seconds knock, knock at 1:47, 1:52 walking heard, 2:06 far off knock in response, 2:13 rock clack, 2;15 wood knock, 2:22 rock clack, 2:25 far off wood knock, 2:30 movement around camp site, 3:18 and 3:36 wood knocks, strange whooshing sound at 3:53, knock at 359, 4:01 and branch breaking at 4:12 to conclude.

.
Elk Camp Audio – June 2012 this recording was obtained by Brad Corless, Michael Johnson and Scott Barta at 4 am in our second NW Colorado location, we call elk camp.

It is 1:15 minutes long in its entirety, but we have highlighted the best segment for you with the help of Tony Lombardo.

After an earlier encounter in the evening with this robust group, including eye shine, we went to bed and this audio occurred at 04 am. Brad was asleep for part of this segment, but was woken up and he told us he heard the same thing earlier as Scott and I slept earlier.

The event happened after I was poked in the back through the tent by one of our friends. I promptly reached over and turned on a second Zoom recorder and this was captured. I had heard heavy breathing by my head just outside the tent as well before I got the recorder on.

I woke Scott B and you hear his reaction. This rhythmic response is in response to our calls earlier in the evening. This is our third research site, we have obtained this type of audio evidence at. Obviously, our friends like what we are doing. Thanks, Mike J-SIR

.
38 Hit Barrage Audio – SIR was in the field for a week in March 2013 and the following recording was obtained on the first night from our Central Colorado location.

It was received after 04 am as we slept in the tent. Most of the investigators heard it. It was in response to earlier recordings we made in the evening.

At the 20 sec mark, there are 38 hits in a one burst barrage. The previous year we obtained the second recording listed on our audio page, which is very similar. We have broken through with this group and developed this rudimentary form of communication.

It was quite satisfying to achieve this milestone with our friends in the forest as we seek continue our friendship with these elusive beings. A special shout out to Jeff Yelek for his audio and technical support on this recording. Thanks, Mike-SIR

.
1:10 AM Wood Knocking Audio
– This impressive 40+ sequence wood knock was obtained while Co founder Mike Johnson and investigator Jeff Yelek laid in their tent on 3/26/2012 in their Central Colorado research location.

This was recorded on an H-2 zoom sitting on top of Jeff’s Jeep Cherokee plugged into an inverter to give it recording capabilities to 12 hours. Both of us were awake and did not attempt to see the culprit in hopes of receiving further communication that evening. The night before we received rock knocking from our own river rocks left on the tailgate of my truck after 5 minutes in bed.

This sequence occurred at 01:10 am on a clear cold night after a very windy day. The sequence begins with a 19 sequence barrage and then by a 28 second break. Then a second barrage of 22 additional hits occur.

Jeff and I could hear this clear as day. In fact, it was very loud and sounded like it just outside the tent. You could clearly hear the log dropped by the culprit as he left as well, which in my mind solves the debate over whether it is wood or mouth. It is wood. It was far to loud as well.

We know the importance of finding the stick and we both looked for 1/2 of days for damages to trees and logs, but where sadly unable to find either.

I personally think our search radius was to small. We looked well over 200 yards out, but obviously it must be farther away.

Sound distance is hard to judge in the forest, especially when it was as loud and boisterous as this event was.

I could not be more ecstatic as a researcher to present you with the best wood knock evidence in the world. You should have been there. Enjoy, Mike J and Jeff Y

Northwest Colorado Wood Knock Audio – This second recording was obtained in the summer of 2012 in July by Mike Johnson and Tony Lombardo in NW Colorado using the same techniques used at the Central Colorado location in March on recording 1.

Please understand this is two different Sasquatches hundreds of miles away from each other responding in the same fashion. A huge breakthrough for SIR this summer.  It was recorded on a Zoom H-2.

Rock Clacking Audio – This rock clacking sequence was obtained in August, 2012, by the husband and wife SIR team of Jeff and Theresa Yelek on a recent outing to an area they have been working for awhile. (the rock clacking starts at the 1:04 minute mark)

They have been working with this new group of Sasquatch in the Northern Colorado area. This is a breakthrough we feel with this group.Theresa also was rewarded with a visual sighting of one.

They were rock clacking back and forth with a group of three for 5 minutes in this recording. You can hear the wind in the background. The sequence was obtained with a hand held recorder.

The audio was confirmed and cleaned up with the help of Cryptolinguist Mononga Hela. We appreciate his help. We are looking forward to many new and exciting experiences with this group in the future.

We hope you enjoy this interaction as much as they did that evening.

Second Rock Clacking Audio – In this sound compilation that was recorded in July, we got a mixture of twig snaps rock clap and a possible whoop . Recorded in July on the new moon. You can hear them in close and and there communication with other Sasquatches.

You can hear progression of the sound at 0:22. My snore then at 1:00.  An in close twig snap, then what sounds like a whoop at 1:11. Then another twig snap at 1:12. Then a rock clack and another twig snap at 1:17 and then at 1:19 a loud rock clack way off.

This seems to show the sounds around camp really well . They start off with twig snaps close in. Then it is heard another Sasquatch that relays the  message down the valley with a rock clack.

Cooler Beating Audio – This audio was obtained this summer with the help of Tony Lombardo at our NW Colorado location with high end Marantz recording equipment outside of our tent after 03:30 am on a Wednesday night.

This rythmic pattern was also obtained on my Zoom H-2 as well. The pattern repeated over and over outside the tent less than 15 feet from me as we laid in our cots listening. Actually, I think Tony slept through this one, but I woke him up just after this brief beating occurred.

Please be aware it was dead quiet with no wind at all. This beating sound, we feel is a response to earlier communication techniques we are working on that has elicited this type of response at multiple locations including the massive barrage on the first recording.

We are making headway in rudimentary communication, which is a huge breakthrough for SIR this summer.

July 2012 Audio – This recording was obtained by Jeff and Theresa Yelek at an outing in one of our new spots in North Park, Colorado.

At 14 seconds you can hear a rock knock and then at 22 seconds a more pronounced wood knock. They were the only ones at this site on this three day trip during the week.

This location is very remote. I was there the Saturday before and I was the only one there as well with my son and his friend.

Audio of Baby – We have heard this before in the past. This is a new group we just found in November of 2013. Listen to this recording with head phones on is our suggestion. This happened at around 06:30 am at about sunrise during the week on a 4 night trip in Colorado. We were all asleep at the time in our outfitters tent. The metallic sound is the wood stove. At 4-5 seconds you will hear a small whoop, at 25-26 hear an excited response, at 38 seconds the same excited response again. Please note the squirrels reacting in back ground to their presence.

It is important to collaborate evidence. In Audio 1 following this recordings you will hear similar action from July of 2009. At 1:00 momma grunts and then baby responds with a small bark at 01:08 and then its what is said after at 01:09 to 01:10 that is the same as this response from a different juvenile. This is solid evidence that is supported by another recording, which is significant.

Audio #1 – This 2:35 minute recording is a short segment of a 3.5 hour recording obtained by SIR on 7/18/2009 with Michael and his son for one night at their NW Colorado camp.

This recording was enhanced or cleaned up with they help of our friend, Mononga Hela, which much thanks and gratitude. The tape is cleaned up in an NPCR format. Some how they generate massive background noise as part of their stay. The interference comes as the come into camp and leaves when they leave.

You can hear the first three hours with little back ground noise. You can hear planes fly over as well. At 02:30 am it starts and they stay until light and birds are chirping in conjunction with grunts and barking. We will post more in the near future.

Use head phones for maximum listening pleasure. This includes the baby in camp barking at length and momma responding with a firm grunt. The bark has been confirmed by others as a baby was recently killed bringing much sadness to our group. We have known that baby’s bark for quite some time.

The chronology is a follows: Possible wood knock/banging at 24 seconds, baby bark at 28 seconds, momma grunt at 1:00 minute, bark vocal at 1:08 to 1:10, another baby bark at 1:48, and loud baby bark at 2:29.

Audio #2 – This audio was captured at dusk in May 2009 in Colorado, as Michael and his son are walking back to their truck. Michael’s son is talking quietly and you’ll hear a four Whoop Sequence in the background.

Audio #3 – This audio was captured in July, 2009, at 4:00 am, when Scott W. was in his tent.
A pine cone hit the tent and then immediately very heavy bi-pedal footfalls were heard. The footfalls shook the ground, and covered a lot of area, fast.

Audio #4 – This audio was captured In Sept, 2009. The double whoop sounds occurred while we were sleeping and we found it when reviewed the audio tape.

Audio #5 – This audio was captured in Colorado in 2009. The single Whoop is hard to hear, and must have been over 1/2 mile away from camp.

Audio #6 – This audio was captured in our primary research area in Colorado in 2010.
You can hear a single wood knock that occurred at 4:12 AM while everyone was sleeping.

Audio #7 – This audio captured some weird noises that occurred outside our tent at 2:31 AM.

Special thanks to Jesse Dowd, Forensic Audiologist of Knoxville, TN for Audio support for these recordings. For Audio consultation contact Jesse at jessedowd at gmail dot com

I admire your research which is fascinating and thought-provoking.
Your approach is sensitive and non intrusive, and I wish you every success in achieving safe contact with these primal people.
You mentioned the recent tragic killing of a baby( in your notes on the audio recording obtained by SIR on 7/18/2009 with Michael and his son for one night at their NW Colorado camp).-what evidence did you find for this-was it an accident or deliberate?
Do you think we may run the risk of infecting Sasquatch with common human disease like flu that could prove fatal to them as has happened following first contacts with other native peoples?

I have five cats, all rescues, and Pookie is the alpha male. When I played the 38-hit barrage, Pookie was curled up next to me. As soon as the hits began, his head flew up in alarm, and as they got louder, he jumped up and raced to the window to investigate. It’s been five minutes, and he is still there. Even a little kitty could feel the majesty and power of these creatures. It occured to me that there seems to be a pattern to the hits.

We went camping at the gravel pits on top of the Uncompahgre just off the road to Nucla in the summer of 2013, and while we were just dozing off at about 1:30am a very loud growling/yowling sound woke us up, and it wasn’t any creature sound that I have ever heard before or since, I went out to investigate, this area is very remote as far as it being other campers or pranksters, in fact from where the sound came from is very dense woods with fallen trees and brush and not a place that someone would go in the middle of the night to pull a prank, after we came home I studied to find out all the creatures to be found up there and none that are native to that area could make a sound like the one we heard?? just throwing this out there
