Bigfoot Research Footprints

These two footprints of the same Sasquatch were obtained in NW Colorado on different dates in 2010 and 2011.

Photo one is older and is dried out with time.

It was cast.

It was left in the mud long ago and found by us at a later date.

Photo two is fresh.

It was found on a game trail about 3/4 of a mile behind our camp site.

They are both about 19 x 9 as the tape goes.

We wanted you to see in some of our areas the same individual can be found year after year and show you as well what to look for when track hunting and how they can vary due to the conditions.

One thing you should note and be wary of in Colorado is a perfect track.

They rarely exist in this semi arid climate.

These two possible Sasquatch footprints were found on our trip in March 2012 to our Central Colorado location.

The conditions were dry and windy, which is not conducive to good track collection.

The first track is similar to the snow tracks found on 3/5/2012

It is in the same area with the shape and toes appearing the same, which I find intriguing.

This was found under a known Sasquatch home/hiding area near a bunch of caves and rock outcroppings at its base or entrance.

The second print I found in very dry soil measured 17 x 6 inches.

It is starting to fade, but we thought it was worth a look, so we added it anyway.

The toes are on the right and the heels on the left in this photo.

This bigfoot research expedition took place in Central Colorado on the night of 3/5/2012

Sasquatch Investigators Scott Barta and Mike Johnson went to the Central Colorado location the night of 3/5/2012.

We found the following foot prints in the snow on a remote road moving at an upward incline.

There are two separate sets of tracks.

One was 17″ long by 6 ” wide & the mid tarsal break was clearly evident at the inspection.

This is the foot print with the tape across the toes.

This was one print in a set of four in a row before they were lost in the grass.

This the best of the four prints, so we focused on it.

The other foot print has pine needles in it, which separates the two prints.

This Sasquatch’s foot was slightly larger and wider.

Scott found the first set of prints as we walked to review an area we frequent and have found prints in the past.

After a close inspection of the area, Mike found the second set.

We had eye shine from one individual later in the evening after repeated calling.

This night was very successful as a result of all this activity.

Please note the following. The following prints present some unique challenges to identification.

The bigger, wider print is clearly a Sasquatch print in my eyes.

The mid tarsal break and dimensions were correct for its scale. The 17 x 6 was more difficult for me.

The toes do not look the same as in other prints in the past and this print is skinny for its size.

The big toe is not as big and pronounced as in others I have seen over the years.

The only other culprit in my eyes could be a large black bear print overlapping.

But the problem with that is this print was made at 9500 feet in February in Colorado and it was still very cold out with abundant snows.

All bears should have still been hibernating in this area.

Also, no claws were in evidence in any of the 4 prints in a row.

The separate track lines were both headed south to a know Sasquatch spot, which is intriguing and in a line of one.

I am showing you both so you understand the difficulties with prints and the challenges they present.

At SIR, we take great care and pride in analyzing what we post on our website and I wanted you all to understand these prints created quite a conundrum in my mind.

Do I have a bear out early with an overlapping print?

Do I have a unusual Sasquatch print?

Do I have a deformed Sasquatch foot print?

It’s hard to say, but interesting for all none the less and good for you to see both.

The last picture shows a Human track for comparison.

On this bigfoot research expedition in Northwest Colorado, we found dermal ridges in the 17″ footprint

This is the edge of a 17″ foot print from one of our three Northwest Colorado Sasquatch Research locations that was taken in very hard, dry dirt.

It has been blown up and laminated and I have taken close up pictures from this huge blown up picture for you to get a better view and analysis.

This based on what I saw would be the outside edge of the huge foot about 1/2 way up between the heels and toes.

Very little definition was found in the print itself, but the edges were evident and some patterns could be seen.

The toes went into the grass, which was compacted, but no patterns could be seen there due to the vegetation.

However, I have seen ridge patterns in the toes and the run laterally from side to side in a half circle on the Sasquatches in this area.

Picture one shows the dirt pushed up along the compacted edge with the dermal ridges present perpendicular, but with a slight offset, to the direction the entity was heading.

Picture two is a close up for a better view, so you can see they are clearly evident.

Picture three shows an even closer view with ridges in the bottom right corner. The dirt is clear pushed up by this huge foot as the entity walked through our camp less than 20 feet from the tent.

Some observations. There was some very minor dermal ridge patterns found only on this foot on the edges, which I personally think should be expected to a certain degree.

I would suspect heavy wear to a bare foot in the harsh, year round conditions of the forest.

I enjoy lifting weights and in those areas I use to grip the bar with my hands I have worn my dermal ridges away.

Extensive wear should be expected as well in the foot of a Sasquatch to a certain degree. The soil itself may also account for this.

It was very hard and unforgiving, except for the chalky layer where these were found. Finally, look at the famous Patterson-Gimlin shot where Patty is walking away and lifts her foot exposing what appears to be a very well worn, very well padded white foot on the bottom.This ridge pattern in conjunction with our hand print pattern should be able to give an expert enough data to be able to make a somewhat educated guess as to where our entity falls on the scale in relationship to primates and humans.Many a criminal has been sent away on far less evidence is my thought. What’s yours?”

On this bigfoot research expedition on June 10, 2011 in Central Colorado, one of our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies explorers found this footprint.

We had driven into the area on a fairly remote 4×4 dirt road which lead onto private land.

The footprint was found at the beginning of a single track trail.

It was the only print found in this location, as the direction indicates that the animal was moving diagonally across the trail and into a wooded area.

As you can see in the picture, the dry chalk soil revealed a 15.5′ x 5.5″ print.

This was definitely our best print of the 2011 season and we will explore this area further on future outings.

These footprints were discovered in our Northwest research area.

The first picture is a large footprint that we found approximately 20 yards from our camp in NW Colorado.

The footprint is approximately 19″ in length.

The second picture is a closer view of the 19″ print without the tape.

The toes can be seen in upper left area of the photo.

This was about an inch deep in the soft ground under the forest canopy.

The third picture is a poor quality view and print of what we feel maybe from the same individual as the two prior footprint photos.

The same sized 19″ print was found on a small game trail behind our campsite approximately a mile.

This was discovered on the same trip in August of this year.

This bigfoot research expedition took place on May 28, 2011 in one of our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies research areas in Rampart Range, Colorado.

This bigfoot research expedition took place on May 28, 2011 in one of our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies research areas in Rampart Range, Colorado.

We found large footprints in an unusual track line, across the beaver pond from our campsite.

The culprit walked through this bush, leaving reddish-gray hairs.

We took the whole small bush as evidence for future DNA testing.

The footprints were 20″ long, and we have never seen this stride length or gait pattern before.

Here’s a close-up of one of the footprints.

This is the best footprint I’ve ever seen, though the pictures don’t do it justice.

This print was 17″ long and 8″ wide, and you could clearly tell that it was a right foot.

The heal is in the “V” part and the toes are further to the right.

We did not put these sticks here, it stepped between them.

The second photo shows the depth the ball of the foot went into the trail.

This was on an old miners trail going down a very steep ravine.

Nobody frequents this area, as it drops 900 ft. in elevation to this point.

We believe our exploring pushed a decent sized Sasquatch down the ravine in a hurry, and in its retreat it made a few mistakes.

This next photo shows track slides that were within 20 feet of the previous prints.

Measuring a 44″ stride, these pointed us directly to the good footprint.

We were able to track its path for awhile with disturbed soil and leaves, but it vanished at some large rocks.

Whatever we tracked was definitely bipedal.

Ironically, this location is probably within a mile of Mike’s Class 1 bigfoot sighting of an 8′ male Sasquatch some 10 years prior!

This footprint was found next to our campsite rock fire ring in NW Colorado

In the late summer of 2010, we found this 17″ long footprint was 1/2″ to 3/4″ deep.

It was easy to make out the whole foot, including the toes, which make it an exceptional find

Here’s a cast of a potential Bigfoot print, which was found my researcher Jeff Yelek.

Here’s a 14″ long print found in the snow near Pike’s Peak

The first footprint in this sequence was found on the West side of Pikes Peak, which is one of our fall/winter research areas.

It is 14″ long, and was in a shallow pool that froze overnight.

It was found while researching a sighting report out of Cripple Creek, where a local resident reported seeing a Sasquatch cross the road in front of his Jeep while he was going to work at 5 am.

The snow was very deep as I am roughly six feet tall for scale.

The prints came off a icy covered dirt road and continued over a fence with horses into private land following a creek drainage.

The measuring tape indicates a six foot stride length, and an approximate 20″ foot print.

My left leg is extended downward and is straight indicating a very deep snow depth.

There was evidence that a car went off the road to the left of me as well during this crossing.

We do not know if these events were concurrent, but suspect they might be.

Important evidence we would like to point out includes the stride length, the bipedal nature of the stride, the size of the foot prints and the fact it cleared the fence with no trace of hair on the barb wire.

We think this evidence indicates extreme height and is good evidence of a road crossing in our research area.

Here’s a series of photos of what appears to be 19″ x 9″ wide footprints

We found these at our research location in Northwest Colorado.

We found countless partials of this 19″ print around our campsite.

The second track photo didn’t have as much detail.

Heavy rain the week prior made these just visible enough to catch our eye.

They aren’t the clearest tracks we’ve found, but interesting none the less.

Note the size of what we believe is the big toe in picture #3, which is 3″ wide and depressed into the dirt.

This was in the mud next to the trail, not on it, which is common here.

These could be the prints of a baby Sasquatch

These prints were caught right in camp and left in very dry dirt.

It is possible that this is a parent Sasquatch and a young juvenile.

Notice how straight across the toes seem to be. This doesn’t look like a human footprint, plus none of us run around camp barefoot just because it may be falsely mistaken for Sasquatch.

Our opinion: A mother Sasquatch sets baby down while she looks around camp, then ends up stepping across baby’s prints.

We did get a good scale of reference in there….that is a nickel.

The larger print covering up the baby print was 17″

This is the same as in as in the photo under the last page.

We are confident this is the same individual on a different date and time.
