Here’s some hair samples that were found at Central Colorado location
| On June 3, 2013 while camping at the Central Colorado location, strands of hair was found while going down from the lair through a narrow pathway ringed by giant boulders.
The hair was found by Kala Morris. 2 strands were found on the left of the pathway about 5 feet high clinging to the boulders. About 10 feet down from where the 2 strands were found, a strand of black hair was clinging to a branch on a bush about 4 feet high.
Brown hair found on left side of narrow pathway clinging to the boulder.
Measurement of brown hair
Black hair found on right side of narrow pathway snagged on a bush.
Measurement of black hair
Picture of both strands of hair.

Here’s some hair samples that were found at a Northern Colorado location
| On 6/29/13 while at the NW Colorado location, Mike and Tony showed Jon and Robin the spot where some of our forest friends use as a resting spot. This is the location where samples were collected and sent to Oxford University for analysis.
While looking around this spot Robin found several including a 4.5 inch long black hair.
This sample found resembles the black hair found at the Central Colorado location several weeks before.
The chances are slim for SIR to find 2 hair samples that are similar in color and appearance since they are hundreds of miles apart unless there are Sasquatch at both locations. |

I am studying for my degree in Criminal Justice, and I wanted to share what I know of evidence collection. It’s best to preserve hair samples in a paper bag. Plastic can corrupt the hair samples.
Here is a great website on forensics and crime scene procedures.

Obviously, the evidence is not from a crime scene, but protecting the integrity of the samples is vital in order to obtain viable results.
Hi, I am a Colorado native with an Anthropology degree fron The University of Colorado and am very interested in taking part in some Bigfoot field research. Woul your organization be willing to allow me to take part in one of your investigations? Also, have any of the hair samples listed above been tested for DNA or examined under a microscope?
I would really appreciate the opportunity to help in any way I can.
Thank you,
Ari
Thank you for the Hair Evidence pictures. I have been looking for something like these pictures to compare with the samples I have. They look similar. I think I can see the fine wave in the hair that matches my samples. I suspect these hairs I have of being from maybe under the arm of the creature as they were found on a large tree I suspected of being moved to it’s present location. I looked for the area on the log that it would be needed to be lifted from and it was covered with the ubiquitous moss that covers every thing here in the Pacific Northwest and sticking out of the moss was about a 1/8 inch of what looked like hair. That little strand was actually the end of an 8″ light brown hair. I have been emailing people to find out if they could describe a hair they may have seen. I received several replies, including from one of the Finding Bigfoot cast, but they have only sent me links to books and case studies. Your pictures have moved me a little closer to thinking these maybe Sasquatch hairs.
I have been looking at the website, and noted the hair samples. It has been several years, and I see no assessments from recognized mamologists or zoologists, etc. Certainly the University of Idaho professor could locate a specialist and respected laboratories to run genuine tests on these hairs. Has this been done? Why not? Their source would easily be determined if they are from any recognized animal. Also similarities to known species could be determined, whether human, ape or whatever. You must understand that with no such results to verify their nature, I suspect fraud. Why would you withold these samples from genuine evaluation? If evaluated, why withold the results? To me, this quacks like a duck. I’m honestly nodt tdrying to be rude, but where is the evaluation by the top scientists in their field – They would love to find the real thing and have their name associated with a breakthrough.
Hello there, my name is Justin & I am a firm believer in sasquatch. I have encountered a few in 3 different states; Montana, Wyoming & Missouri which includes visual sightings of a few of them. I have returned to my hometown of Riverton, WY. where I had my 2nd encounter plus some new ones recently. Having a phone, and now knowing what to look for, I take photos. In this area where I look for them, my wife too has seen some of the signs, including foot prints, tree breaks, bedding spots, nests, and recently we found some hair that was near some prints on a single sting barbed fence. She doesn’t hear as well, but I do at times hear rock hitting, grunts, and once I was being paralleled & also was given a bluff charge. As far as new sightings, I’ve seen a face thru some brush, I believe was a sentinel, then a female with a juvenile, a pair of legs from under a thick tree line as I was being paralleled, then a larger male from a distance. I took photos but somehow those ones came out too blury. We don’t have any I.R.’s or Flir’s, we don’t have any parabolics or casting mold, or even any bear traps…lol. But seriously, all we have are our phones. I guess what I’m asking is, one, you are welcome to post this on your website for others to read, we are in Riverton, WY. The area is the Rendevous area that sits next to the Wind River, which the entire Wind River Range has sightings from Lander, Worthen Meadows, Dubois, The 2 reservations, the Wind River Canyon, Boysen Lake, and it’s a massive land mass in total. But sasquatch are literally in the towns back yard. On a side note, could I get someone to contact me please. Eventually I’ll want to talk to someone over the phone & hopefully get a team up here. I can e-mail the pics we do have, which are clear. My e-mail is: justinmyhre3000@gmail.com And even those who read this are welcome to contact me. Thank you for your time, and for any advice or help anyone can offer. And also, I’m willing to take others into this area at no charge, just be safe & smart if you do. Thank you everyone. Be safe, keep squatchin’ and have a great summer!
Hi, Are you planning to submit some of the uair samples to Darby Orcutt’s visual and genetic hair analysis team at North Carolina State University that came on line requesting samples back in June, 2023?
Thanks, and good luck- Dan
