These four prints were obtained at Central Colorado by Michael Johnson on Saturday 01/13/2018 in wintry January.

Weather was clear and cold. No bears are out this time of year in the Central Colorado mountains.
.
.
.
They are in full hibernation mode. The weather dips down in the teens at night often and some nights it is well below zero.
.
.
.
The first photograph shows a print of a Sasquatch that was running and in full stride. He went up the hill in huge strides.
.
.
.
He was obviously in a hurry. The prints were very far apart.
.
.
.
This is why so many people miss them. No one expects this amplitude in their stride.
.
.
.

Photo three shows toes in dirt on a remote road in the same area.
.

Photograph four is a close up of same print. This is one of our primary research areas and it is quite active this time of year.

These three foot print examples are from two trips to our new Southern Colorado research site.

This site was discovered by SIR Co Founder Michael Johnson in the Summer of 2016.
.
.
We have collected quite a bit of evidence from this site this year including a ground nest, hair samples and foot prints.
.

.
Vocalizations have been recorded here as well. The highlight of this location for me has been the nightly visitations.
.
.
These foot prints were discovered at this location as well in two separate trips.
.
.
The size and shape of each indicates to us that these may be from the same individual.
.
.

This 8″ wide by 14″ rear partial print was obtained by Michael Johnson in July of 2015 at their remote Central Colorado location.

.
This print was going down hill on the side of a slope as it appeared the Sasquatch was chasing an Elk towards a small creek drainage in the area.
.
.
.
Elk prints that slid down the hill were found to the right about 5 feet were in evidence.
.
.
An Elk carcass that had been killed about a month or so ago was found in tact about 100 yards away appeared to be a possible second incident
.
.
.
Please note the toes are missing in the photo and the heel is in evidence. This print is less than a week old is our estimate.

A 14 inch long by 5 inch wide bigfoot footprint found after seeing a black shape at this location.

The front toes stepped in moss witch gave us a great toe line.

 At the toes it was a 1 inch depth.

Recently I took a day trip by myself to one of our areas in Central Colorado.
.
.
The area was not very well traveled with 6-12 inches of snow on the ground.
.
.
The last mile or so I was the first one in.
.
.
The road was covered in snow.
.
.
Photo 1 in this sequence is proof of that.
.
.
During this trip I found the following photos of an older track line.
.
.
Photo 2 shows a new small tree structure that was not their a month ago with the track line to the right.
.
.
I am confident their was two individuals in this group based on the evidence.
.
.
Photo 3 is a close up of a larger print.
.
.
Weather, sun and time have eroded them out some what, but its pretty clear to me based on the shape and size who made them.
.
.
Photos 4 and 5 are exhibited to show you a close up of a print.
.
.
The toes are evident in these quite clearly.
.
.
The center photo shows you scale and snow depth.
.
.
My steps show drag marks in my strides.
.
.
Their prints are much wider and much longer than my size 10 shoes.
.
.
The Sasquatch prints do not show this.
.
.
Also, I want to make a point.
.
.
The Sasquatches move at the pace of the forest.
.
.
Track lines and strides are often small as they move slowly, even cautiously through the forest trying to avoid being seen by humans and potential prey.
.
.
This cuts down mistakes and conserves energy.
.
.
It also helps fool people about who made the track.
.
.
Melting over time often distorts the prints and can cause them to run together helping hide the culprit who made them.
.
.
Sasquatches are careful, calculating individuals.
.
.
Once you understand this premise, you begin to understand why they have hide so effectively for so long.
.

This is a discussion of the importance of this mother and baby print obtained from 2009.
.
The first photo is a different perspective. A Nickel is in the photo for scale.
.
This was obtained in our campsite in 2009 in very dry, clay like, hard pan soil. What your seeing is baby’s toes at the bottom of the page.
.
The large compressed area is mothers print covering up a good portion of baby’s print, except for the toes. We think she did this on purpose to try and cover up the evidence.
.
Her foot is so large and flat it was outside the norm of what you would look for. This is why we think they are often missed.
.
The foot displacement and design allows for very little evidence of a track, except to those taking special care to look for them. They also leave a lot of front partials as they walk and plant their feet front forward first versus more of a heel locomotion exhibited by humans.
.
The mothers print was 17″ long and 8″ wide, which is well outside normal human perimeters.
.
Photo two is a close up of mothers foot on the edge between the two sets of baby toes, which clearly shows dermal ridges.
.
Dermal ridges are widely accepted as an indicator of a Primate in most scientific circles.
.
We think these prints speak volumes as to the origins of the bipedal individual who made them.

Ant hills are your friend. I always look at them for foot prints.
.
This impressive behemoth was found recently by Mike J and Tony L in our remote North Park area at about 10,000 feet.
.
It was found in conjunction with smelling our friends earlier in the day in a rocky area above us for about 15 minutes.
.
It appeared to be older, but was another solid indicator of their presence.
.
Photo one has the heel at the top of the photo and toes at the bottom.
.
It is 1 to 1/2 inches deep in the ant hill that was unusually hard.
.
I could not even make a dent in it at 240 pounds, which surprised both Tony and I.
.
Photo two has my size 10.5 hiking boot for scale.
.
The foot print has heel at the top and toes at the bottom. Obviously, it is huge.
.
It may have been castable, but it was not perfect by any means.

These three photos show an impressive group of track lines Dave Ottke and I found near an abandoned mine near railroad tracks in NW Colorado recently.

This is a very steep grade. There are Elk tracks in this series of pictures to show you the difference.
.
.
Photo one is a Sasquatch track line is our thought. Most of the prints ran between 17″ and 20″ inches. There appeared to be 4 separate individuals following a small group of Elk
.
.
The grade is at least 45 percent. The Sasquatch went right down the side of it. The Elk followed a small trail.
.
.
I had difficulty getting to some of the prints in this loose shale. It was quite treacherous. The Elk tended to use the road more. The Sasquatches did not.
.
.
Photo two shows Elk tracks to show the difference. They tend to bunch up as well and follow each other.
.
.
Their prints were smaller and round. There was a clear size and shape difference.
.
.
The third photo shows the track line from a distance. The track line to the left of the Aspen is an elk that wandered and is smaller for scale.
.
.
The Sasquatches are in the center in the shale. There was no evidence of people in this remote location that appeared abandoned.
.
.
The only live critter we scared up ironically was a large Coyote in the ravine below the track line. We intend to explore the area further in the near future.

We hiked a circle around our research area today.

We found this trackline where it had crossed a fence and the fence was pushed down in the area it crossed.

We followed it tell it cut into a area that must of been dry and lost it.

But you can see it was about 17-16 inch’s long.Walking towards our research  site area.

It was just a great day to get out and hike.

It was clear and cold at night.
.We always start out with fruit.
It got down to 7 degrees, so this trip was not for the faint of heart.
.
We camp in a tent.
.
They snow was crusted and about 4-6 inches deep.
.
These track lines went for miles and originated from private land.
.
They taught me a lot as it appeared the Sasquatches tried to hide their track lines in the open and walked freely under the forest canopy.
.
The straight on track line was exaggerated when they run and slightly offset when they walked.
.
These were huge prints at approximately 20 inches long by 9-10 inches wide.
.
It was a great find. 🙂
.
When the large one ran the track line was so large I could not jump from print to print.
.
It was that large of a distance.
.
You could clear see the near straight line of toes, curve of the heal and in person see the make up of the foot.
.
There was no arch like we have, but a diagonal break.
.
I looked at the pair closest to our campsite and studied their intricacies for a good hour.
.
These are the best snow prints I have ever found.
.

This set of footprints was found on June 10th, 2012 by Robin Roberts

Mike had told Jon and Robin about an illegal campsite that was fairly close to their research spot.  Found was camping equipment and supplies.  It looked like they left in a hurry and just abandoned their stuff.

Mike was thinking they were scared off.   This has been known to happen to people when in an area that they were not welcomed.

With this in mind, Jon and Robin went to explore a spot that fit the description given to them.  It was at this location that hair and rock stacks were found.

Colorado Bigfoot Print 061012A couple of months later, Jon and Robin were exploring this spot.  They had gone back to look at a rock stack that Robin was documenting. They explored behind the rock stacks.

It was close to the cliffs and game trails that went down into pine trees and boulders.  They found some rib bones of deer and a couple of light impressions.

When Robin went back towards the rock stack, Jon called out to her to come back.  He said he found a print that she had to see.

Quickly she went back.  Jon had found a 17 inch print in powdery soil going towards the rock stack.

There were several impressions with this print. They were in a clothesline pattern and about 5 feet apart.  This was a lucky find because of the Colorado soil conditions.

You are lucky to see faint impressions.  Our friend had stepped on a small spot of powdery soil as he/she was walking towards the rock stack.

This 14 inch print belongs to a juvenile that hovered around our camp that night smelling and surveying us and the food we were preparing.
.
.
This individual did not eat either until he or she brought the family into eat after he or she found the food we had left them.
.
.
Young adults seem to do the stealth work for their families in this area.
.
.
They are younger, more agile, smaller and quicker than their adult counterparts, which are more bulky and powerful in most instances.
.
.
This dynamic just makes sense and it is practiced the same in humans.
.
.
Just look at our military personnel’s age.

It was cast.

It was left in the mud long ago and found by us at a later date.

Photo two is fresh.
.
It was found on a game trail about 3/4 of a mile behind our camp site.

They are both about 19 x 9 as the tape goes.
.
We wanted you to see in some of our areas the same individual can be found year after year and show you as well what to look for when track hunting and how they can vary due to the conditions.
.
One thing you should note and be wary of in Colorado is a perfect track.
.
They rarely exist in this semi arid climate.

The conditions were dry and windy, which is not conducive to good track collection.

The first track is similar to the snow tracks found on 3/5/2012
.
It is in the same area with the shape and toes appearing the same, which I find intriguing.
.
This was found under a known Sasquatch home/hiding area near a bunch of caves and rock outcroppings at its base or entrance.
.
.
.
The second print I found in very dry soil measured 17 x 6 inches.
.
It is starting to fade, but we thought it was worth a look, so we added it anyway.
.
The toes are on the right and the heels on the left in this photo.

Sasquatch Investigators Scott Barta and Mike Johnson went to the Central Colorado location the night of 3/5/2012.
.
We found the following foot prints in the snow on a remote road moving at an upward incline.
.
There are two separate sets of tracks.
.
One was 17″ long by 6 ” wide & the mid tarsal break was clearly evident at the inspection.
.
This is the foot print with the tape across the toes.
.
This was one print in a set of four in a row before they were lost in the grass.
.
This the best of the four prints, so we focused on it.
.
The other foot print has pine needles in it, which separates the two prints.
.
This Sasquatch’s foot was slightly larger and wider.
.
Scott found the first set of prints as we walked to review an area we frequent and have found prints in the past.
.
After a close inspection of the area, Mike found the second set.
.
We had eye shine from one individual later in the evening after repeated calling.
.
This night was very successful as a result of all this activity.
.
Please note the following. The following prints present some unique challenges to identification.
.
The bigger, wider print is clearly a Sasquatch print in my eyes.
.
The mid tarsal break and dimensions were correct for its scale. The 17 x 6 was more difficult for me.
.
The toes do not look the same as in other prints in the past and this print is skinny for its size.
.
The big toe is not as big and pronounced as in others I have seen over the years.
.
The only other culprit in my eyes could be a large black bear print overlapping.
.
But the problem with that is this print was made at 9500 feet in February in Colorado and it was still very cold out with abundant snows.
.
All bears should have still been hibernating in this area.
.
Also, no claws were in evidence in any of the 4 prints in a row.
.
The separate track lines were both headed south to a know Sasquatch spot, which is intriguing and in a line of one.
.
I am showing you both so you understand the difficulties with prints and the challenges they present.
.
At SIR, we take great care and pride in analyzing what we post on our website and I wanted you all to understand these prints created quite a conundrum in my mind.
.
Do I have a bear out early with an overlapping print?
.
Do I have a unusual Sasquatch print?
.
Do I have a deformed Sasquatch foot print?
.
It’s hard to say, but interesting for all none the less and good for you to see both.
.

This is the edge of a 17″ foot print from one of our three Northwest Colorado Sasquatch Research locations that was taken in very hard, dry dirt.
.
It has been blown up and laminated and I have taken close up pictures from this huge blown up picture for you to get a better view and analysis.
.
This based on what I saw would be the outside edge of the huge foot about 1/2 way up between the heels and toes.
.
Very little definition was found in the print itself, but the edges were evident and some patterns could be seen.
.
The toes went into the grass, which was compacted, but no patterns could be seen there due to the vegetation.
.
However, I have seen ridge patterns in the toes and the run laterally from side to side in a half circle on the Sasquatches in this area.
.
Picture one shows the dirt pushed up along the compacted edge with the dermal ridges present perpendicular, but with a slight offset, to the direction the entity was heading.
.
Picture two is a close up for a better view, so you can see they are clearly evident.
.
Picture three shows an even closer view with ridges in the bottom right corner. The dirt is clear pushed up by this huge foot as the entity walked through our camp less than 20 feet from the tent.
.
Some observations. There was some very minor dermal ridge patterns found only on this foot on the edges, which I personally think should be expected to a certain degree.
.
I would suspect heavy wear to a bare foot in the harsh, year round conditions of the forest.
.
I enjoy lifting weights and in those areas I use to grip the bar with my hands I have worn my dermal ridges away.
.
Extensive wear should be expected as well in the foot of a Sasquatch to a certain degree. The soil itself may also account for this.
It was very hard and unforgiving, except for the chalky layer where these were found. Finally, look at the famous Patterson-Gimlin shot where Patty is walking away and lifts her foot exposing what appears to be a very well worn, very well padded white foot on the bottom.This ridge pattern in conjunction with our hand print pattern should be able to give an expert enough data to be able to make a somewhat educated guess as to where our entity falls on the scale in relationship to primates and humans.Many a criminal has been sent away on far less evidence is my thought. On this bigfoot research expedition on June 10, 2011 in Central Colorado, one of our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies explorers found this footprint.

We had driven into the area on a fairly remote 4×4 dirt road which lead onto private land.
.
The footprint was found at the beginning of a single track trail.
.
It was the only print found in this location, as the direction indicates that the animal was moving diagonally across the trail and into a wooded area.
.
As you can see in the picture, the dry chalk soil revealed a 15.5′ x 5.5″ print.
.
This was definitely our best print of the 2011 season and we will explore this area further on future outings.
.

The first picture is a large footprint that we found approximately 20 yards from our camp in NW Colorado.
.
The footprint is approximately 19″ in length.
.
The second picture is a closer view of the 19″ print without the tape.
.
The toes can be seen in upper left area of the photo.
.
This was about an inch deep in the soft ground under the forest canopy.
.
The third picture is a poor quality view and print of what we feel maybe from the same individual as the two prior footprint photos.
.
The same sized 19″ print was found on a small game trail behind our campsite approximately a mile.
.
This was discovered on the same trip in August of this year.
.

This bigfoot research expedition took place on May 28, 2011 in one of our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies research areas in Rampart Range, Colorado.
Bigfoot Hairs On A Bush
This bigfoot research expedition took place on May 28, 2011 in one of our Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies research areas in Rampart Range, Colorado.

We found large footprints in an unusual track line, across the beaver pond from our campsite.
.
The culprit walked through this bush, leaving reddish-gray hairs.
.
We took the whole small bush as evidence for future DNA testing.
.
The footprints were 20″ long, and we have never seen this stride length or gait pattern before.
.

This is the best footprint I’ve ever seen, though the pictures don’t do it justice.

This print was 17″ long and 8″ wide, and you could clearly tell that it was a right foot.
.
The heal is in the “V” part and the toes are further to the right.
.
We did not put these sticks here, it stepped between them.
The second photo shows the depth the ball of the foot went into the trail.

This was on an old miners trail going down a very steep ravine.
.
Nobody frequents this area, as it drops 900 ft. in elevation to this point.
.
We believe our exploring pushed a decent sized Sasquatch down the ravine in a hurry, and in its retreat it made a few mistakes.
This next photo shows track slides that were within 20 feet of the previous prints.
Bigfoot Track Slides
Measuring a 44″ stride, these pointed us directly to the good footprint.
.
We were able to track its path for awhile with disturbed soil and leaves, but it vanished at some large rocks.
.
Whatever we tracked was definitely bipedal.
.
Ironically, this location is probably within a mile of Mike’s Class 1 bigfoot sighting of an 8′ male Sasquatch some 10 years prior!

The first footprint in this sequence was found on the West side of Pikes Peak, which is one of our fall/winter research areas.
.
It is 14″ long, and was in a shallow pool that froze overnight.
.
It was found while researching a sighting report out of Cripple Creek, where a local resident reported seeing a Sasquatch cross the road in front of his Jeep while he was going to work at 5 am.
.
The snow was very deep as I am roughly six feet tall for scale.
.
The prints came off a icy covered dirt road and continued over a fence with horses into private land following a creek drainage.
.
The measuring tape indicates a six foot stride length, and an approximate 20″ foot print.
.
My left leg is extended downward and is straight indicating a very deep snow depth.
.
There was evidence that a car went off the road to the left of me as well during this crossing.
.
We do not know if these events were concurrent, but suspect they might be.
.
Important evidence we would like to point out includes the stride length, the bipedal nature of the stride, the size of the foot prints and the fact it cleared the fence with no trace of hair on the barb wire.
.
We think this evidence indicates extreme height and is good evidence of a road crossing in our research area.

We found countless partials of this 19″ print around our campsite.

The second track photo didn’t have as much detail.

Heavy rain the week prior made these just visible enough to catch our eye.

They aren’t the clearest tracks we’ve found, but interesting none the less.

Note the size of what we believe is the big toe in picture #3, which is 3″ wide and depressed into the dirt.

This was in the mud next to the trail, not on it, which is common here.

These could be the prints of a baby Sasquatch

These prints were caught right in camp and left in very dry dirt.
.
It is possible that this is a parent Sasquatch and a young juvenile.
.
Notice how straight across the toes seem to be. This doesn’t look like a human footprint, plus none of us run around camp barefoot just because it may be falsely mistaken for Sasquatch.
.
Our opinion: A mother Sasquatch sets baby down while she looks around camp, then ends up stepping across baby’s prints.
.
We did get a good scale of reference in there….that is a nickel.
.
The larger print covering up the baby print was 17″
.
This is the same as in as in the photo under the last page.

We are confident this is the same individual on a different date and time.

This foot print was found in very hard soil after a light rain event in Utah in High Uinta mountains.

We found it on an August 2013 outing with Dave Ottke, Mike Johnson and Brad Corless.

It measures 16 x 7 inches.  This is often what you find.

It is obviously not a print you can cast.  It was on very edge of a dirt road.

Another 16 x 7 print was found less than 1/4 mile away that was cast.

Seriously, you commented that they attempted to hide the prints in the open. What techniques did they use? Were there any pictures of the attempted camouflage?

Animals, and smart people do not sweep away pine needles in the shape of their next step.
Your best print is i complete fake, at best.

Tod, you sound like I used to sound. It’s o.k. This isn’t a feeble attempt at reverse psychology, it’s just that I wish I could still sound like your comment. I wish I could go back and retrace my steps last fall to where I started, take off my pack, put away my rifle and instead of going out that day maybe I should have taken the family to the park instead. But no, I had to go try to fill my elk tag. It just so happened that along the way I got to see something extraordinary. It was beautiful and not like any of the scary encounters I’ve heard of since I actually started looking this phenomenon up last winter. It took me a while to come to grips with the whole ordeal. As for personal gain, the experience led to the worst fight I had ever instigated with my wife. The experience nearly destroyed our marriage because I didn’t know how to handle this experience with maturity and tact. The sasquatch I saw followed me out the entire 8 miles and she wasn’t in the least bit friendly about the whole thing. I wasn’t afraid of her and she knew it so she searched thru my mind finding a point of discourse or bone of contention within my psyche. From their she pegged me until by the time I exited over the ridge I was frothing mad. I think I know how they do it now but I’m still unsure. Telepathy may be the best way to describe it but I really don’t know. I’ve been married nearly thirteen years, not the greatest record but a mile stone nonetheless. My wife has stuck by me thru the worst of it from the military thru to folding a business along with so many others in 2008. But this one experience nearly destroyed our marriage. it’s all good now but I wish every day I could go back and just take the family to the movies instead. What that sasquatch women did was uncalled for but I realize now that they must do what they do for their own protection. I don’t blame her anymore, maybe that was a lesson I needed to learn. As for personal gain, maybe just the personal growth and being humbled and mortified at what needed to be fixed within me. That women taught me something about myself. She taught me to not be afraid of who I am and who I can potentially become in life. Prior too I was driven by resentments and desires beyond my means. Now I am a humbled man simply seeking to follow a path, maybe thru the woods maybe thru the streets but a path to being something better then what I was before. I hope you find that path too Tod, I hope you encounter the fear and the humbling experience that I have. Once they get into your head you’ll be forced to see yourself and that may be their greatest defense mechanism or maybe I’m looking into it to deep, I really don’t know and the beauty about this whole encounter is the wonderment that I really don’t have a clue what I’m getting myself into and I find that exciting and wonderful. I hope you find what you’re looking for Tod, I hope we all do. So get out there Tod and find it for yourself if by chance personal gain can be attributed to your encounter, great good for you; but as for me I am expecting another lesson, hopefully I’ll be the only one to suffer it this time.

I generally don’t buy into the whole big foot thing, even though I find it interesting from time to time. However, I frequently backpack throughout Colorado, mainly to fish remote lakes and I have run across some things that seemed very strange to me.

It was about mid-June and I wanted to do a quick one day-one night trip to Whitney Lake in the Holy Cross Wilderness. The lake sits on the north side of the Homestake Valley just outside of Mitnturn. The trail-head is just off the road and the hike is probably only about 3-4 miles one way. There had been good snowfall in the high country that year, so as I started to get closer to the lake at the top (which probably sits at 11,000 feet+) the ground was covered in knee to waist high snow. Given I had hiked all the way up there, I decided simply to trudge through for about the last 3/4 of a mile.

It was a miserable experience because the snow was so deep. As I hiked through the snow I noticed extremely deep and widely spaced pockets in the snow. I thought to myself, well another hiker must have done the same thing I am doing. The pockets were roughly footshaped and were going up the hill in a walking pattern. However, what struck me was the space in between each pocket. For many of the pockets, there was easily multiple feet in between each one. A human would have had to catapult themselves to make similar foot tracks in neat walking order. That was surprising because the tracks I made up the hill were very very closely patterned together due to the difficulty. I was clearly struggling to get up the mountain, and any hiker before me would have had to deal with more snow and would have had similar, closely tied tracks.

The tracks could have been bear, but I leaned towards ruling that out due to the shape of the pockets. Though they were not precise, they had the human/ape elongated shape, not the roundness of a bear. Furthermore, it looked like an animal would have needed longer legs to get the spacing in between each track.

Now they could have been another human. If a human had hiked through there a week earlier, the size of any tracks they made could have been amplified by melting snow around the tracks. However, the melting of the snow should not have impacted the distance in between each track.

During that night, I thought I could hear footsteps as if something was running (not galloping like a deer or elk) and I thought I heard something outside of my tent sniffing around. Furthermore, something had cut/chewed/sat on/ stepped on/etc. on the thee separate lines to the fly of my tent which I had tied into stakes in the ground around the tent. As you know, each of the lines will be taught and stretched out. In the morning every one had been broken/cut/chewed or whatever. Simply put, they were no longer connected to the stakes in the ground.

I am fairly experienced in the back country, and it just seemed strange to me. Things happen all of the time, but for some reason this one day and night in this one place seemed a bit off. In my mind, those tracks could only have been made by a human, or something else, and I have not developed an explanation on how a human could have made them. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures (frankly because I was creeped the heck out and just wanted to make my way down). But, I just wanted to share this and maybe it will lead you to new adventures.

I found some tracks I can’t explain near Central city CO. I’ll send the pics if anyone wants to see them just shoot me an email and I’ll send them they seem only hours fresh and look better than any I’ve seen on web!
