Day 1 of the SIR Christmas stories from Robin Roberts

by Michael on December 21, 2012

Many knowledgeable and honorable people in the field in the Bigfoot world know that you can only show or try and prove about 5% of the things that happen.  Evidence is difficult to obtain, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Our 12 days of SIR Christmas stories will share some of our best experiences.  We can’t prove these stories in some instances and will not even try, but these are the things that we talk about in-house and around the campfire, and it is our gift to you this holiday season.

Thanks, Mike – Co-founder of Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies

Day 1 of the 12 Days of Christmas comes from Robin Roberts

I have had many memorable moments while out investigating this past year. It is hard to pick just one to share, so will I go with the one that brought me joy and excitement.

Earlier this year I had heard my first whoop. This was the first time I actually had some tangible evidence with one of my senses that pointed to our forest friends in my research area.

Now what? How do I reach out without alarming these shy and elusive forest beings? I decided to gift with food.

Where? Using the physical signs I have found and my gut, I picked a rock. My neighbor and I packed 5 apples and a paper bowl. At the last minute I made a beaded necklace and wore it.

We went. I carefully placed the bowl of apples and necklace on the gifting rock. I took pictures, knocked, whooped and then we left.

The next day I was so antsy that I left work early. I climbed up to the area by the gifting rock and noticed that 2 of the apples where on the ground with teeth marks and big bites. By one of the apples it looked like some of the bites where spit out!

I looked over to where the bowl of apples were. The apples were gone but the bowl was still there. Also the necklace was missing!

I checked the ground and found some large impressions that were 11 inches long and 5 inches wide right by the rock and bowl. I went to take pictures and found that my camera did not have the SD card in it. OH NO!

As I was leaving to go home and get my SD card I decided to call Jon. He met me at the house.
I quickly grabbed my SD card and Jon his camera.

We went back and took pictures of the area. We carefully checked the teeth marks and they looked like a person’s bite but bigger. They were not deer bites.

I was on cloud nine because I had reached out and they had taken the food. In my excitement
I was loud and talking nonstop. Then we heard some movements behind and to the left of us.
I suspected they were watching us.

I will never forget this first moment. This is my gift to you and I hope each one of you have a happy holiday.

Robin
