Michael and other SIR team members:

When you find multiple tracks do you measure the “straddle”? By “straddle” I mean do you establish a line of travel and then measure from the inside edge of a left track to the inside edge of a right track?

Does that make sense? I carry a small roll of neon orange mason’s twine. I lay it in between tracks in a straight line to show the direction of travel. Nothing percise, I just sort of eyeball the average between the tracks. Then I measure from the inside of one track to the twine, then do the same for a track on the other side of the twine and then add the two measurements together. Doing this gives me a little insight on how wide the hips may be on the SAS.

Best regards, M. Charlie Thompson
