Many knowledgeable and honorable people in the field in the Bigfoot world know that you can only show or try and prove about 5% of the things that happen. Evidence is difficult to obtain, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Our 12 days of SIR Christmas stories will share some of our best experiences. We can’t prove these stories in some instances and will not even try, but these are the things that we talk about in-house and around the campfire, and it is our gift to you this holiday season.
Thanks, Mike – Co-founder of Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies
Day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas comes from Ron Petersen
I am a firm believer in “If you don’t have the evidence then it is just a story”. Michael Johnson knows me better than anyone and understand my reasons. Since he asked… here goes.
I’ve been fortunate to have had 3 encounters. The most compelling would have to be a face to face in Colorado. I was on the fence about whether they were primate or ‘Forest People’.
Now I am a firm believer of the ‘Forest People’ theory. If you actually saw one you would understand.
This one had an expression. It looked at me with this “Hmmm… who are you?” face. I wasn’t too frightened because I have seen them from a distance, but I can see where they would cause someone to panic.
The dark eyes, wide mouth, and nose are more like “us” than ape.
I know now firsthand why they avoid us. I think they understand that they scare us, and it bothers them. It made me think about people who actually want to see one. “Be careful what you wish for”.
Some people would ask if I had a camera (and I did) why not take a picture? Mostly because I was in awe of something that people say “doesn’t exist”!
While the Sasquatch walked away, all I could feel was compassion for my ‘Forest Friend’. It’s out there somewhere tonight in the forest… all I can think is “Merry Christmas” my friend… stay safe.
Ron
