Day 12 of the SIR Christmas stories from Kristi DeLoach

by Michael on January 1, 2013

Many knowledgeable and honorable people in the field in the Bigfoot world know that you can only show or try and prove about 5% of the things that happen. Evidence is difficult to obtain, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Our 12 days of SIR Christmas stories will share some of our best experiences. We can’t prove these stories in some instances and will not even try, but these are the things that we talk about in-house and around the campfire, and it is our gift to you this holiday season.

Thanks, Mike – Co-founder of Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies

Day 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas comes from Kristi DeLoach

Colorado Bigfoot Researcher Kristi DeLoachIt’s January 1, 2013, and the last day of the S.I.R. 12 Days of Christmas, and I have two Bigfoot stories to share with you. Here’s my first:

I was on vacation the week of July 4th, 2012.  My husband and I were camped in undeveloped space in the mountains.  The first weekend we had nice weather and while sitting by the campfire at night I had been able to detect eyeshine from the Sasquatch peeking at us from the edge of the woods.  We were camped in a small clear area that adjoined a area heavily forested with a lot of ground cover and large boulders.

Then, we began to experience much needed rain.  My husband was working that week but commuted back and forth to the campsite.  We have a 30 foot fifth wheel and the awning is higher than my husband or I could reach.  To get the collected rain off the awning we used a broom to raise the awning so the water would run off.

The 4th of July we left the mountains after my husband got in from work.  We went to my son and daughter-in-law’s home for barbeque and an evening visit.  Just before we left the camper we went through the water dumping routine.  It was repeated when we got back to camp that evening.

The next morning my husband left for work about 6:30 a.m.  I was sitting in a lawn chair under the awning while enjoying a cup of coffee and reflecting on what a grand moment I was blessed with.  The rainfall had washed the dust from the trees and grass so they were fresh and clean.

The early morning air was cool and brisk and the birds were singing in the trees.  Then…..I looked up and saw something that totally amazed me.  Right over my head in the middle of the awning was a huge smeary muddy hand print.

The Sasquatch had visited our camper and mimicked us raising the awning to pour the rain water off the awning.  It unwittingly left me a message that I will cherish forever in my mind’s eye

Here’s my second story:

In November my husband was cutting firewood very near our investigation area.  Most of the wood being harvested was deadfall that was still salvageable.  It had rained a bit by the time I walked to where he was working.

He started to tell me that he had heard clucking noises like children make popping their tongue off the roof of the mouth.  It started behind him, went toward the gifting area and up the hill.  I walked about 20 feet and started looking for sign (scuffed leaves, scuffed dirt, broken twigs, etc.)

I noticed a big footprint that had gone through the compressed leaves.  The area where the bottom of the foot had broken through the leaves was dry.  All around it was wet from the rain.  It was in a position behind a tree where my husband could be spied upon easily but it would be difficult for him to detect.  I believe a Sasquatch was watching him cut firewood, recognized who he was and walked off on its merry way.

On a subsequent Saturday, we were collecting firewood nearer the gifting area and, once again, harvested trees that were already down.

We cut them into long sections and put them in our wood trailer.  As always, I left gifts and hiked around talking and singing a while before we left the area.  I always thank them for letting me visit and share their beautiful forest before I leave to return home.

The following day we returned to the gifting area.  I was anxious to look for prints.  Near the gifting rock I discovered what I feel was a gift to us.  There were two dead downed pine trees arranged so their tops met with the bottoms spaced to form a teepee.

There was also the top out of a dead aspen tree nearby that had been broken off about 10 feet up the tree.  It was laying with the pine wood.  The pines had been removed at the ground. However, I could not discover any location in the vicinity that revealed where they came from.  They had to have been carried to the location they were left at.

The Sasquatch often leave gifts of feathers, stick symbols and/or pine cones on the rock.  I will always believe they left us a gift of firewood after observing us gather firewood from the ground.  They are a group that have shown us a display of friendship by leaving gifts for us with regularity

Kristi, I love following your research! As far as I am aware, you and your husband are the only ones in the SLV. I look forward to meeting you and the rest of SIR some day. Keep up the good work! Linda.

Thanks Linda. There may be others here who research but do not make themselves known. I love sharing and have become quite fascinated with the research. From what I have discovered the forest people are quite intelligent and kind.

If you live in, or are familiar with the Valley, you know that long time locals are rather close mouthed when it comes to talking of bigfoot and paranormal activities so…. I have not been able to glean any information other than my own discoveries.

I would love to meet you sometime too. Thanks again for your comment.

Kristi

How lovely that you leave gifts for them. How could they fail to be charmed by your singing. I hope that someday, our Sasquatch friends will trust us as friends. I recently read about a woman who leaves apples, pancakes, bread, etc., as gifts for Sasquatch. She has also received pine cones in return. Pine cones are special to them.
