This Colorado Sasquatch Investigations of the Rockies Field Report comes from the Central Colorado location on June 3-4, 2013.
Wow! What a trip. First time the charm benefited SIR on this trip. Jon and Robin had the pleasure of having Kala and Kurtis Morris from Michigan visit.
They wanted to learn what they could from SIR to take back with them to start their own investigations in the beautiful state of Michigan. The central Colorado location did not
disappoint the Morris siblings or SIR.
Kala, Kurtis and Trenton climbing on one of the many rocky outcrops. You name it and pretty much it happened in the 2 days there. We had eye shine at the meat pit. Found prints, hair, a large tee pee, x’s, structures, numerous old/new tree breaks, several deer legs with spiral fractures and 3 tree breaks in a triangle pattern. Heard whoops, yell, knocks, rock clacks, one run from us and a tree snapped. Kala and Kurtis had an enormous amount of education on this trip. Kala holding the black hair she found on the narrow pathway going down from the lair. There was a spot with tree breaks around it. Kurtis noticed that there were 3 tree breaks in a triangle pattern around this spot. This is the location where we saw eye shine the night before. As the group went down into an area off of some rocky outcrops, the remains of a young deer with spiral fractures and also remains of a recently killed rabbit was found close to a very large tee pee. At the top just before we ventured into the spot, Mike and Trenton smelled a sulfur type smell. Jon walked first into the spot and heard something bipedal run off. A large tee pee found with tree breaks, fence postings and X found by the remains. A cave was also found in this location. It is big and deep. When everyone but Robin left the location she heard a tree break up behind her where Jon suspected where the foot steps ran to. She then heard several knocks, a double knock and rock clacks. The others were getting impatient but Robin stayed until she heard no more. Kala, Kurtis and Trenton finding a bat in a crevice. It may seem like SIR is too lucky with their investigations but the reality is that their patience, location and evidence is the outcome of hard work obtained over a period of many years. The tortoise and the hare story is being played out here in Colorado by SIR. |

Do you guy’s ever set up trail cameras? All the top biologists use trail cameras to capture the most elusive animals.
They have been used in the past. SIR believes that Sasquatch is human smart, elusive and forest savvy. Because of this it is almost impossible to use these trail cameras effectively. You have to remember that this is their environment/home. An example: When you come home you would notice if anything is different, added or moved about in the interior of your home. The same thing applies with them in the forest. When the cams were being set up more than likely they watched. So naturally they will be suspicious. Primates are very different than deer, mountain lions or bears. Much more intelligent. If you click on our Trail Cam tab it will explain in more detail.
